Band Practice Anyone?

These days band practice looks a little different for us. What used to be late nights at the rehearsal studio in Miami is now making time to connect online using various sites like LANDR Sessions or Riverside.fm where we can record our sessions to share. We are often meeting to discuss our various songs that are in production and share our DAW screens so that we can each see what plugins we may be using on particular instruments or on the vocals. The creative process is actually more involved and isn’t just a jam session followed by a 6 pack of beer. Utilizing this latest technology has also opened up and expanded our musical talents and tastes that we may not have even realized.

The time still moves as fast as it did back in the day when we were in the studio and often before we even realize it 2 hours has flown bye. We even follow an agenda! I know…who would’ve thought that we’d be that organized!!

As artist’s we feel that it’s important to find the time to practice our art and are always grateful to our families for allowing us to escape from the daily grind. We do feel that having this face time with each other has strengthened our skills and brought us closer together even though we don’t live close to each other. So if you’re reading this and are a musician wanting to create with others across the miles, just know that the process is fun and it can be done!
